it really is a shame that their SS model is a 3.8 liter v6 that is super charged, yet its slower then the V6 anything that came out of japan without any special tacky factory badging.

Nice kill, I always wondered how they performed...I guess not as well as I expected.

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.

dude TatII shutup the 3.8 rocks, u have no idea what ur talking about, I don't see any japanese V6's cranking out a whopping 280 lb ft. of torque like the supercharged 3.8, the extra displacement roxs

power is only part of the battle. building a car that actually makes use of it is the other. obviously the Impala makes poor use of the power..

It's the transmission, they really aren't all that good and are problematic. With mods the 3.8 sc can be pretty quick, as seen with some of the GTPs out there.

there is no doubt about its power potential. we all see with that the gtp's and comp G's. jeffsgtpsleeper is an 11 second car. however its stock output is really nothing and almost every n/a japanese v6 makes more power and are faster stock.

but reguardless putting the SS badge on that car is a joke. the older lt1 powered impalas were much better.

Yeah, I'd rather have an Lt1...It's too bad GM doesn't seem to like V8 RWD as much anymore.

Oh god...

VQ35DE 274-ft-lbs 287hp
VQ40DE 291ft-lbs 270hp

all without a high rpm killing roots blower
then again peakpower doesnt mean jack without power under the curve
