Hello out there,
i have a 94 Olds Cutlass 2 dr. Good running car with allot of heart. Only had her since Nov of last year. The problem is, i am living in a new area of Ga and trying to get some good prices on a tune-up for her ( lost my great Mech--when i moved). i was told a price of $168.77 just to change the spark-plugs today,,,i smiled and walked out. Daddy didn't raise me that silly. Does she have some plugs under the engine also? If not i will put them in,,but really am not sure. If she does not, what would be the gap on them? Yes i am female,,,but spark plugs are spark plugs,,,good gosh,,how hard could it be for a mech--even if they are down under and they have a lift????----------------------All answers will be accepted Thank -You p. |

You wouldn't have spark plugs under the engine, that sounds like something a cheesy mechanic would say to rip you with. The only thing tricky is you have to rotate the engine. (btw what size engine do you have? I'm assuming you have a 3.1 L like the majority) it's really not complicated, but you will need a torque wrench to install the new spark plugs. AC Delcos work fine. For much more descriptive help, I suggest going to www.w-body.com look at what is reccomended, clicking on message board, and joining that forum if you need further help. We all have w-bodies like yourself and both the site and the forum should be able to help you. (just a note, search for what you want first)
