Tranny stays in Reverse
I own a 96 Gr.Caravan 3.3, 4 speed. I stopped my van put it in park and removed the key. When I try to start it again nothing happens. The instrument panel shows that it is in Reverse although it is in Park. When I try to move it to Neutral the shifter will move but the N doesn't light up and the van still won't work. I checked the cable and it's allright
Any ideas? Thanks |

Re: Tranny stays in Reverse
Update.
In case anyone has the same problem it was the Neutral start/back-up switch located at the lower front edge of the tranny (4 speed). Easy to access and easy to replace. I want to thank everyone who helped. |

There is only one thing better then when people post the actual solution that cured their problem - that's adding the pictures of the part and it's location! ;-) Thanx for the update - it is truly appreciated, and very helpful to someone else looking through the group for resolution to the same problem. - |
