1995 Gran Prix

Hey,

I have a 1995 Grand Prix, actually it is my parents, I am having a problem it won't start. I thought it was the starter so i did the screwdriver trick and i got lots of spark but no attempt to start the engine.. does this mean my starter is bad or what?

Thanks for all the help

Jeremy

Re: 1995 Gran Prix

If it didn't turn over then either the starter or the solenoid has gone bad. You will need to remove the starter from the car to change the solenoid. Take the starter to either autozone or advance and have it tested. They should be able to tell you whether the starter is bad or just the solenoid.
