ABS Light & Check Engine Light
Greetings!
I just had an oil and lube service done for my 2001 Chevy Impala, and the ABS Light and Check Engine Light both came on (and is staying on) within a week's time. Should I take it in somewhere so they can charge me $500+ or should I spend $100+ on a code scanner and attempt to fix myself? I'm always willing to do my own repairs myself is need be, but I lack the experience. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks! |

Re: ABS Light & Check Engine Light
I have a similar problem, We get a anti skid light the traction inop light and a flashing check engine light and the ar immediately slows to 30mph and won't go faster. Usually happens on the interstate which is really exciting. My son in law has ben surfng he web and found similar problems that were solved by reprograming the computer. the only obd code I get is a 1403 "EGR pintle stuck open"
