odometer problems

I just aqquired a 94 SL1 a couple of weeks ago. I replaced the gears in the odometer bus still have a strange problem. The odometer doesn't work when the car is cold...speedo works fine. Once it warms up, it works fine and for the rest of the day. Every morning going to work...no odometer but then works later in the day. Any ideas...

Since I've owned the car, I've replaced the ECTS, and thermostat.
