Engine lopes when idling

I have an 05 the only thing I’ve done to it is a cold air intake. Lately when ever I’m stopped at a light or anything the engine starts Idling weird almost like it has a cam. I've also noticed that it has a lot less power off the line then it did when I first put on that intake on, could any one give me idea of what maybe happening?

What type of intake? 05 seems too new to have anything mantience related go...which engine do you have? I know that this is a common problem with the Zetec, but I haven't heard of it with the newer gen. Focus. Air filter clear?

I have the one from Marcy Motor sports i've pulled off the filter and checked it and it looked pretty clear, but i havnt tried to clean it at all. I have the Duratec engine so it's not just the same problem as with the ztec.

Re: Engine lopes when idling

Maybe the MAF sensor is out of whack with all the extra air. Try pulling the battery cables for 30 min and resetting the computer. Then drive it at varying speeds to see if it is still only at idle.
