Unhappy 92 Bonnie -- Chime module shorted?

I'm new to these forums but have been checking out fixes for an aging Bonneville SSE with 181k miles. I've been pleased with what I've found -- fixed several problems already. This one has me stumped.

Whenver the headlights come one -- whether through the sensor or manually -- the chime will come on with 4 short rings. It then repeats every 5 seconds or so.

In a previous post I saw someone suggest that it might be a short in the chime module. How can that be repaired? Is that a singular item that can be replaced? This car has the full instrument cluster (if that makes a difference).

Thanks for any help...
