Michel Vaillant comic update

"Michel Vaillant" is a belgian comic by Jean Graton.

It's wellknown for it's great and detailed drawn cars, so it's the perfect comic for me.

I want to create my own Michel Vaillant Comic, and here's my practise:

A formula car, just did it for motion practise.

Then, the motion in 3d, a Skyline, somehow not convincing. The white lines make speed but they're somehow out of the right place.

And finally more sketches I did during the lesson, mostly for perspective practise.

I started with the cars because I think they are the easiest part for me. I'll have bigger problems with the persons. "Unfortunately" persons do belong to a comic so I'll have to draw them. It will be a hard practise.
I'll post them soon, so that you have sth to laugh.

PLEASE, anyone who knows sth about drawing people, comics and moving cars, speedlines and such, help me. (bonzelite...?)

Re: Michel Vaillant

Nice drawings, I love how Free and loose your lines are. The only thing i would have to say is on your skyline drawing in motion, You said something about the white motion lines being out of place, I think they look out of place because they are in front of the car, looks as if the car is going in reverse with the way you positioned the lines, Should be running along the sides going out the back.

Keep up the good work, Your drawings kick ass

Re: Michel Vaillant

Thanks!

Well he's called Michel Vaillant because it's francophone. Sounds a bit gay but well... it's french.

Here's an example how I wanted to use the speedlines...

it's a pic of a Michel Vaillant Episode, you may now see why I like it so much. It's badass.

bonz?

Re: Michel Vaillant

Nice work! I like the first f1 car. the perspective on the skyline looks odd to me.

jacko: stop posting useless bullshit and bringing up old threads.
