Angry GPS Navigation Troubles

I was hoping you guys could help me with a problem that has been driving me crazy every since I bought my Bimmer, a 2000 323i. I bought the GPS Nav option, actually, it's one of the main reasons I bought the car. I am unbelievably disappointed with bimmer's GPS system. That being said...at least once a road trip, the system appears to lock up. When I push the button to switch between GPS Nav and the onboard computer, it jumps right back to the radio or onboard computer, which ever I was using. If I hit the menu button, the systems goes blank and then resets itself. It keeps my destination in, but it no longer gives directions, I have to select directions again. This almost always happens when I use the radio controls (Change radio station, ff rw a tape, etc...). Anyone that can help, please respond or send me an email.
Thanks

Lightbulb gps problem

:cyclops:
do you have a button in your system that switches between gps, radio and cd functions? you may be triying to control your system in the wrong setting. my gps system, although aftermarket, includes a cd payer and tuner along with a dvd player, and all of the above have remote functions, but you must be in the proper remote setting. hope you resolve your problem. good luck.
