93 subaru legacy

driving down the road motor goes dead, motor will turn over but won't start. mech says only has pressure in one cyl. and floods sparkplug with gas. what happened? this car has always ran perfect.

not timeing belt or broken camshaft. mech think it has too much fuel pressure maybe the pump. i've had this mech. for years and i think he's pretty good so this has to be something unusual. i'm in the south, not many subarus down here. thanks

Re: Re: Re: 93 subaru legacy

I'd have to ask the mechanic your very question. Why,in his opinion, did this" too much fuel pressure all of a sudden" happen. As The fuel pump is electronic so I would assume that the root cause is a problem in the electrical system.
