1998 F-150 4x4 Intermittent Starting Problem

I have a 1998 F-150 4X4 4.6 Automatic trans 97500 miles that is giving me fits. The story goes like this...

Last week, I came out from work and the truck wouldn't start. First time ever. I called a tow truck and waited for about 30-40 minutes. During that time, I would try it every once in a while. After the 30-40 minutes, it started and ran fine. I cancelled the tow truck.

5 days later on the highway coming home from work, it dies while doing 70. Just quits. No warning. I have it towed to a local shop, and they look at it for a day and a half and can't figure it out. They said it has no fuel AND no fire, but they can't figure out why. So, I spend another $100.00 to have it towed across town to a shop that specializes in electrical issues. When the tow truck arrives at this shop, they are able to start it and drive it around. They hook it up to their computer and get no codes.

I have had someone suggest to me that possibly it could be the oil pressure sensor is going bad. Apparently some oil pressure sensors cut fuel & ignition when pressure falls in order to save the engine. Does anyone know if this truck has a setup like this?

Has anyone had a similar problem? Any ideas at all?

Thanks in advance!!

Forgot to mention that it does crank like a champ, and all accessories and electrics work, except for the ignition of course!
