cleaned IACV and...

well i just cleaned my IACV for the first time and maybe for the first time period. and i installed it and it idled fine.. then i spray some carb cleaner around it to check for bubbling (vac leak) and then like 1 min later it starts to bog and shuts off.. car starts and eveything but just shuts off..runs fine with uh lil gas.. wtf did i do now lol

i musta saturated it.. hr later no prob better idle

Thanks for this post. I have been considering doing this to my car. (DOHC ZC). Was it a pain in the ass to do or was it easy? Anyone have a step by step with pictures diagram on how to do this?

did you try driving it? any CEL? sometimes if you forget to plug the connector or its loose, it will run fine but bog down the minute you try to rev it up. It would normally throw a CEL if its not pluged in too.

it was very easy.. one connector and 2 12mm bolts on the center top of the intake mani, QuikShifter i made sure i reconnected the connector. i think it was cause of all the carb cleaner i used to clean the IACV and TB
