Mclaren F1 video list

Hi all, I'm new to the forums and am very impressed with the amount of mclaren f1 info and media I have found here, as well as the passion and dedication of the people! (and even a couple of f1 owners, imagine that)

I've been collecting pictures and media of the f1 for quite a while, but never came across this site before for some reason, I suppose it was only a matter of time.

Anyhow, to the point of the thread. Here is a list of all the mclaren vids I have at the moment, I would like to know if there are others of significance I am missing... (I'm sure everyone here has already got the ones I have - in the unlikely event this isn't so, I'm happy to send them, or upload them somewhere)

Also, is there somewhere, like an FTP, everyone can use and upload all their stuff to? That would be useful, to have a central database of all this media..

Good work making a list. I'm trying to be structured with my pics, but videos, I don't really know what I have. But I will look into it.

An FTP place to store a collection of files. Well, there's free solutions out there, but the free-aspect fucks up the usability. I don't know many, but what about rapidshare (although I believe it has lost popularity).
Then there's yousendit.com but it only stays on 7 days and you can e-mail it to one person?

Anyway, I'm sure others will come up with better solutions.
Once you know them and are able to upload stuff, I'm sure to download a few of your list.

The first video is related to the second one with the Supercar Battle - both are from Best Motoring, but from a different tape than the "Japanese review and road test of the TAG Heuer mclaren" which I happen to own a copy of. The McLaren lost badly in the race on track due to the rain. It's never been a car that can be driven at 9 or 10/10ths in the rain. I recall that Naoki Hattori was the driver of the McLaren in nearly every instance on the Best Motoring tapes. I would like to find the second Best Motoring tape with this comparison, but to date don't know which month/year it was.

TV Series

"The Cars the Star" - Was a BBC series. With Quentin Willson talking about the F1. Circa 20 mins long. Has an accountant at the end who owns a Papya long tail race car as well as an ordinary car.

I will try and capture / upload this at some stage.


Production Video

"McLaren at Le Mans" - I have never seen this video. Its been well sold out for years now. Whether a copy will turn up on eBay I have no idea.

I'd love to see the first video you mention. That longtail papaya GTR would be #27R and it, along with the road car, were purchased with embezzled funds so the story goes. The accountant should be James Munroe.

I have got "The Cars the star" captured. Its a 181mb ASF file. Quality is pretty good, but not 100% say 90%

Any suggestions as I havent got the space and cant email it because its bigger than the 10mb Hotmail allows.

rr_ww, you can use www.yousendit.com for a temporary (very temporary) host, till someone can put it up on something more permanent.. maybe if you upload it, exotic will put it on the FTP.
