Car trouble

Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone could help me. My boyfriend was driving my car since his was in a bad shape. He took his eyes off the road and ended up off the road. He had to call the towing company to pull him out. Since he hit the ground, he messed up my car. We are not able to start it. You have to try 60 times or it just does not start at all. You give it a pause and it starts for the second time and then again. You have to try and try .... Well, we thought it could be a starter so I bought a new one but that was not the problem.
I think there is some problem with the power/electricity. Sometimes it starts only when the lights are on. The battery is new so it should be fine. It is just making some click sounds and that is all. Also, I have an alarm (I don't use it anymore) that if you trun on and someone brakes in, they would be unable to start the car.
My dad works on my car so there are too many wires even under the car. Unfortunately, he lives far from me.
Anyone would just have any idea before I have to take to some car shop?
Thanks

Re: Car trouble

What car/model do you have? What do you mean by theres too many wires under your car? Do you mean like under the steering wheel or under the actual car? It could be the starter but where did he hit the car? Front, back, sides? Pictures would help also.

if its just a clicking sound when you turn the key its electrical if you hear the motor sort of turn on /shake a little i guess it could be 1 of 2 things no spark or fuel. might be something electrical with the ECU? (not sure about that )

year, model, trim level, mods......

I don't understand the whole "theres too many wires under the car". WTF do you mean by this. I don't see why it won't start just because it went off the road. Did he hit something and ruin parts? Turn the key to the ON position and see if the radio turns on, lights work, windows roll down if powered, etc. If all works cleanly, rule out battery. After that, we need more info.
