2500HD with 6.0

What do you Fellas think of the 6.0 Liter Engine in a 2002 2500HD Series Silverado? I'm thinking about getting this truck if I can sell mine.

The 2002 2500HD Silverado with a 6.0 engine is the best vehicle that was ever made, especially if it's green.

(of course I may be partial)

My friends dad has one. He's driven it a few times and loves it.

If you're going to work the truck then I would say to go with it. If you're just wanting something to play with, then don't bother. I have a '01 K2500 HD with the 6.0L and I work it to death...it does a great job. But as a "Sport Truck".....(whatever that is!)......

I disagree the 6.0 has plenty of go and they are real fun out in the mud.in the winter the weight of a 3/4 ton is nice you almost always have traction in any kind of snow without using 4x4.But on ice as with all cars your screwed. My mom hit some ice in my dads and well nevermind it wont let me upload the pic.But anywas he now drives a 2005 suburban LTAUTORIDE 4x4

Hmmm. The truck's last owner was from Bellevue, Spud. Did he trade it in at Team One Chevy with a big boinger in the passenger box side? I bought it right out of their body shop after it got a new box and a fresh coat of green paint.

Starting to sound like the same truck. The story I got was the owner's wife slid off the icy road and caught a tree ahead of the rr wheel. It was driven damaged for awhile afterward. It got a new box and some body work farther forward. I saw the truck outside the body shop on a Sunday afternoon while driving by. It had not been cleaned up yet, so I could tell what areas were worked on. I was attracted to the truck due to the fresh coat of paint and new box, as it is not so easy finding a used HD that isn't all dinged and scratched from being worked. It also had fresh tires on it. I was leary of buying a truck that I knew had been wrecked, but it was the right color and had the right look. I took it to work Monday and put it on a hoist to make sure the damage did not get into anything underneath, then signed the papers Monday night.

It is so straight and pretty now that if it weren't for the old style front end, it could pass for a new one. If it's the same truck Spud, feel free to email "before" photos to me at [email protected]. I have a pretty good idea of what it must have looked like, but it would be interesting.

Small world! Thanks for emailing the "before" photos. I live in Charlotte, very close to Team One. They were honest enough about the prior damage that the photos you sent are exactly as I had pictured.

I'm really happy with the truck. I bought the cast type wheels on eBay and am going to use 285 tires on them. I'm also adding stainless nerfs. It now has a 5,000 pound Air Lift air bag system on the rear axle so it will haul anything without squatting. I have also added a 175 psi onboard air system with a tank tucked underneath and uses front and rear shop hose quick connect fittings. I can run a 1/2" impact from the front or rear bumper area.

I'll watch it on the ice patches this winter!
