RIP car

Today my car took an injury and will be out for the season, surprisingly it didn't happen sooner. This morning it started getting hot and it died as i turned into my work parking lot. On the drive home it started to get really hot again. I pulled over checked over things put some cold water in it then it had trouble starting and i knew there was a problem. I got home and did a compression test 110 80 90 120 and burning oil. It's done at least until i get back from AIT. But i will be buying a 90 gs-t in a few days and when i get back from AIT I'm putting a stroker kit in my talon.

Re: RIP car

Hot engine + Aluminium head + cold water = Cracked head (Logically)

Aluminium is not very forgiving to a sudden temperature change

Re: RIP car

The car was already terminally ill when it started overheating. We knew the engine was not gonna last a whole lot longer anyway and he was driving it until he left for AIT. I am going to build the motor and paint the car while he is away over the summer. The 90 gs-t was such a bargain that we couldn't pass it up. It's in amazing condition with a new clutch, new alternator, and all service done. The thing even has all the little things missing from a lot of DSMs. It has the spark plug cover (unbroken), the timing covers are perfect, even the BOV cover is still on.
