92 Grand Caravan LE -location EGR
Can anyone help me with a diagram or schamatic of the EGR assembly and wiring for a 3.3L 92 Dodge Grand Caravan.
My van has failed aircare and nox is two times hgher than the max limit. Went and bought the EGR assembly for the van. Opened the hood to find no trace of EGR tube assembly or even bolt bracket on exhaust. I have the hayes manual for this vehicle, but it doesn't show connection points, or digram of EGR assembly. Please help. |

Like I said the manual shows the top end of the egr valve assembly, but doesn't show the EGR tube assembly in any detail, like location or how it is routed. The manual only shows the the EGR valve being positioned under the the plenum somewhere near the beginning of the metal of the air intake. Thanks Dan |

That motor does not have a standard egr valve. They use something called BPEGR which means back pressure egr. It's actually located on the throttle body.

Re: (2 Grand Caravan LE -location EGR
Okay, but the BPEGR valve assembly has one piece that attaches to the throtlle body - which I have installed. This setup as far as I understand has two parts. At least that is what the manual says and the dealer that sold me the part. The electronics attach to the throttle body the other piece orlets say mechanical valve attaches to what. I mean it can't recirculate the emission gas, if it has no where too draw the gas from and send it to.
Thanks Dan |
