Compression Too High Overheat?

i have like 14:3 compression
d16y8 single cam vtec motor ALL MOTOR SET UP

my car doesn't ping or anything

but after like 25 mins of driving the car will get super hot and the temp needle will shoot up like right below the HOT... if i turn the heater on and let the hot air blow through the vent's it goes back to the middle then it'll fluctuate between middle and hot....

people teling me i need to lower the compression by getting a thicker headgasket

curious if there's other ways to prevent this from happening?

all fluids are good also and new thermastat

Re: Compression Too High Overheat?

could be a bad water pump or bad radiator.
