Hello LeSabre owners. Just wanted to know..........how well do LeSabres drive in the snow? Between the weight of the car and the front wheel drive i'm assuming they handle well in snow. Am i right?

I would suspect that the handling will depend much more on the tires in this case - Consumer Reports usually provides useful ratings for tire handling on ice and snow. Note that the touring and performance tires can be much worse in snow than other tires.
My experience with my '91 in snow up north is that it handles decently - not bad, not top-notch, but then again that is the CU rating for my tires in snow - just middle of the road....

Last winter was the first winter I had my 95. It handled the snow really well. I live in minnesota and we got some pretty significant snowfall last year. I was even plowed in a couple times.
The point about the tires is definitely true. I have a set of BF Goodrich Wearmasters that are less than a year old. But the power and weight to help a lot. The downside of these factors is stopping distance, fishtailing and sliding. On packed snow or ice no matter what kind of tires you have, your stopping distance increases enormously because of the wieght and momentum of the car. But this is true of any car, not just Buicks. The LeSabre also has a tendency to skid out around corners if you take them too fast. Again this is a product of the car being a bit heavier.

Mine does great in snow. Wish I could turn off the anti-lock brakes for driving in the snow and ice though. I live about 4 miles from the nearest paved road and it does great on the backroads, real smooth, good in mud too. If the snow were too deep, I think it would be a problem. If there are some tracks to go in, it does real well though.

I just run cheap all-season radials all year long from Peerless Tires. Seems like the cheaper tires hold up better on gravel. I ran chains on it for about 5 days last winter. We had a spell of ice that was impossible to get around on.
