A/C freon level
Can you tell by looking at the sight window if there is enough freon in your A/C system? I can see fluid flowing...should I???

Re: A/C freon level
Yes you should. Bubbles would indicate an undercharge. Do not attempt to go by the sight glass if you try to recharge the system. Use gages or take it somewhere.

The A/C isn't cooling. It blows hot air. Would it be safe to add a pound of freon?

Re: A/C freon level
Techincally speaking, you can not buy R12 unless you're EPA certified. Having said that, you can find lot's on eBay.
Beware of the R12 substitutes. Not saying they're bad, but you may need to change out other parts to complete the swap. |
