Re: fucking bullshit!!

Is there a place I can bring my car to and they can fix the scratch on the rim? I'm really angry about this considering I paid $1100 for this set of rims and tires and there not even a month old yet.

There are shops that specialize in fixing wheels, but it can be costly. Look around the yellow pages, or go to the place you bought the wheels at and see if they can recommend a place.

Re: fucking bullshit!!

I used to have an excellent how to guide bookmarked, then my suckatron erased them all.

Oh, this is also the reason why I actually like having stock 14 inchers on my BMW. They look fine on the car and are virtually impossible to curb rash.

Re: fucking bullshit!!

shouldnt they have a warranty for rims? sounds reasonable to me. but i guess if it's your fault they got fucked up it shouldnt have to be fixed on their dime. i suppose not everyone would expect to scratch their rims within a month after purchasing them, anyway.

huh? Curb feelers are REAL? LOL!

In the back of Car and Driver, there should be an AD that repairs/replaces/rechromes wheels...

Re: f*cking bullsh*t!!

There are lots of shops that can fix dings and scratches in rims, usually for less than $100.

4 years ago, I got a flat. I went to my shop to peel off the old tire and put on a new one. The bead would not break easily so I got out a 10 lb sledge and hit the old tire sidewall.
Well, at the third blow, the sledge slipped and I drilled the aluminum rim at the edge and knocked off a huge chunk. I was pissed, but $70 later, the rim looked like new.
