Unhappy Need help fast

Hi,
I have a 2001 Alero and I live in Wv my husband had to take it to NC for work. It now will not start...it acts like it is not getting any gas when he tries to start it. He is suppose to come home Friday but has no way to gethome. Does anyone have any idea what this problem could be. Someone suggested that the car may have jumped time. Please help!!
Thanks,
Melissa

Re: Need help fast

It sounds like the fuel pump may have gone bad. Can happen almost instantly and will result in a no start condition. I doubt the timing is your problem as the timing will not cause a loss of fuel pressure. Have him raise the hood and look for the shrader valve on the fuel rail. It looks like the valve on a tire. Have him push it to see if there is fuel. If not definately a fuel pump. He will probably have to tow it to a garage for repairs.

PS. Grew up in Davis, WV. Lived in Parsons before moving to PA.

In case you overlooked it, see above thread "Alero Won't Start." Two of us there, have the same problem. You make number three.
