Re: will my tranny bolt up to my new engine???
no, dont get me wrong, i want standard but the standard swap has to wait for now because im low on cash, but i should have it done within a couple of months
i have a few other questions about this matter.....1)is the b16 a direct connetion with no rewiring and can i use the original wiring harness??2)do all the sensors match wiring harness(if im able to use the old harness?? 3)do all my old accesories bolt up to my new engine like the alternator, water pump, etc...... THANKS FOR ALL YOUR INPUT!!!! |

Re: will my tranny bolt up to my new engine???
Off the top of my head, the only wiring you will have to do is run two wires for vtec, but check into it just to make sure. You will need ecu harness pins for these wires, got to a junk yard and just cut the harness/remove the pins.
Removing the pins from the plastic harness is not easy the first time you do it. You need a very small flat screw driver. Theres a piece of plastic that you have to push down from the ecu side of the harness.

Re: will my tranny bolt up to my new engine???
thanks for that info, ive heard someone else say something like that too.....anyways, this might sound like a stupid question but is my car obd0 or obd1...its a 90 acura integra rs......and would it be worth it to get a harness from rywire for my new b16 or should i modify my harness for the vtec??

Re: will my tranny bolt up to my new engine???
Your car is OBD0. What B16 are you getting? Honda made that engine from 1988-2000 so theres quite a few versions. The most available/cheapest ones are the B16a1 from crxs/integras.
Getting a new harness is not worth the time VS. $$ of running two wires.

Re: will my tranny bolt up to my new engine???
well, since my car is obd0 i guess a b16a would be the best match. I was looking at some wiring diagrams for the vtec and there was the vtec solinoid, vtec oil pressure, the knock sensor, and the O2 sensor.rywire sells a conversion kit for this and its plug and play for 55$ american.has anyone got anything from rywire and if so, were you satified with what you got.
