Re: Lost
Many people have asked the same question in here and the response is mostly "Don't waste your time and money trying to swap a V8 into a car with a V6. If you want a V8, buy a Bird with a V8 already in it." Drop a junkyard V6 in your car, sell it and buy one with a V8. Search through the forum and read the other posts about this swap. Sorry to bum you out!

ok i know what you mean by not worth the money and time but i got a motor and wiring harness and all that other junk. but i just wanna know if the 4r70w tranny will bolt up to a 5.0 cuz that is the same tranny they use in the 96 ford pickups. but i dont know if the bell housing has the same bolt pattern.

Re: Lost
If I'm not mistaken, they make an adapter to put that tranny onto a 5.0 motor, but don't quote me on that. The bellhousing pattern will be different, though.
