I always wash my model parts (resin or plastic) in mildly soapy water. Even if there's no releasing agent on there they could have been handled by a packer with sticky fingers, or whatever.

At least then if anything gets on them I know it was MY fault!

One more *$&#(O&T^& time this friggin' site jams up and goes "down for maintenance" and eats my reply, and I'm outta here.

No mold release that I can remember on Scale Auto Style parts, but I always hit resin-no matter how clean it feels, w/Easy Off. Once you get resin w/mold release that is impervious to all the hot soapy water/Westley's Bleche White/lacquer thinner cocktails, and you'll never NOT use Easy Off again. Randy from Perry's resin also recommends Easy Off for all resin as a fail-safe mold release remover. Only takes 10-15 minutes and it's given me perfect results, unlike all the other methods.

Yes, I use mold release so give them a good clean before use.
