Just another Ferrari F355 Challenge

hi guys,

First time posting pics here, not sure if the post belongs to this or motorsport section, anywayz, this is certainly not the best build compare to most of the work i see here, I hope you guys like it... as you can probably tell, pics are taken with my cellphone camera...

After 2 months of work, this is it, this is not much of a progress thread as the exterior is pretty much done except for some minor pieces like the side mirrors, front/tail lights, rear spoiler, decal, etc... Most of the time are spent modifying the wheels from another kit to make it look like the speedlines on the F355 challenge.. I have yet to start building the interior..

The bubble you see near the front left corner is just water droplet

F360 & F355 challenge

Another...

Yet another...

Should i leave the rear spoiler on or off??

Thats it for now, any comments are welcome!

Re: Just another Ferrari F355 Challenge

Looks very good so far.

Will you be adding the sponsorship decals? Leave the wing on I think. It definately makes the challenge car work.

edit: Welcome to AF. It's always good to see another Ferrari guy.

I agree about the wing--it works well on a racing type.

Re: Just another Ferrari F355 Challenge

Great work, I'd say leave the wing off, ruins the great lines of the car..

I think the wing has to stay if it is gonna be the Challenge version. Where are the rims from? Looks awsome! Keep up the great work man!

Very nice. I say use the wing since you're planning on making a challenge car out of it.

Re: Just another Ferrari F355 Challenge

Superb build sofar, great minds think alike!

No real need for the wing for realism's sake tho.

The use of that wing was not always obligatory-mandatory. It differed from country, year, ... either way you choose, it will be period correct for a challenge car.

Keep it up, I m watching this.

lovely work - even a phone-cam can't hide the fact that it looks really nice

I don't know bout "realism" but in my opinion the wing detracts from the beautifull lines..

Thanks for the warm welcomes and the valuable comments, i guess i will leave the wing off for now... CADguy, i have been thinking about the sponsorship decal since day one, I have done some image research on google, it turns out that most of the F355 with the sponsorship decal are grey/silver/gun metal body coloured, moreover, do you think the red strip would even i have the body coloured in red?
