200 Silverado Keyless Reset Procedure

I tried every reset I could find on many sites for my keyless remote on my 00 Silverado.

I called the dealer this morning and was lucky to connect with a knowledgeable service advisor. So.....if you have one, the other procedures haven't worked for you, and you're interested....

1. From inside truck with doors closed, lock the door with the door switch.
2. Turn the key switch on, off, on, off and then on(leave in the on position).
3. Press and hold the lock and unlock buttons on your remote at the same time and hold them until you hear the door lock recycle.

For multiple remotes repeat step 3.

4. Once all remotes have been reset, turn the key to the off position to exit the program.

I don't know, but don't think it would hurt to try.

Here is what worked on my '02:
1. Start with ignition off.
2. Press and hold unlock button on drivers door, the locks will cycle once.
3. Turn ignition on-off-on-off.
4. Release unlock button, the locks will cycle once.
5. Hold down lock and unlock keys on keyfob transmitter until locks cycle (about 15 seconds).
6. Repeat step 5. for remaining keyfobs (up to 4 total)
7. Turn ignition on to exit the programming mode. Programming is now complete
On step 5 you have to hold down the unlock and lock buttons on the remote at the same time till you see the doors lock then it will be complete.........
