whats better ram or cold

I just wanted to know what would yeild more horse power AEM cold air intake or an AEM ram air intake or is there even a better brand of intakes for del sols well thanks for ur help

The AEM cold air intake will provide better results over the short ram due to direct air that is forced into it from the bumper. The possible problem with cold air intakes is a weather related issue. AEM has a water stopper device that you can add to prevent water, etc. from getting into the engine though. I have a cold air and it does provide great results and I haven't encountured any water related problems with it. Acording to super street, sport compact car and import tuner the AEM cold air is the best intake. i have heard that there are kits that will get you better hp but then you have to no what your doing. I read in Civic Duty that the ram air doesnt do much of anything.

just wanted to add. You could have a short ram and put a direct air ram scoop on the hood that could yield similar results, because it's direct air flow into the intake.
This requires buying the air ram and attaching it to the hood or buying a hood with a scoop already attached. This in return is more money to get the same effect as the cold air intake. Some people also use remove the lights or the aux lights on the left side where the intake is to allow for more air to travel directly to the intake. If this is done then maybe a short ram could work as equal to the cold air. Just giving you more possibilites, but I still think the cold air is the way to go.

Another intake to consider is the Comptech Icebox if you have a DOHC.
