Question do you have to swap

do you have the swap the distributor out on a dx to si swap (dpfi to mpfi) and if so why.

yes you have to swap the dizzy to an si... u always have to have the same dizzy with the same ecu... for instance dx dizzy will only work with dx ecu... so yea u have to swap the dizzy from dx to si if you are planning to do a mpfi swap

yes. because of the cylinder position sensor in the mpfi dizzy.

DPFI had a 5 pin plug the MPFI has 7

hmm so then i doubt im gonna be doing a mpfi swap. not qutie worth it to me anymore. but i have kidna figured out one that that would be alot easier to do with them mpfi swap. that would be swapping over the hole car harness. it seems easier and mroe logical.
