1990-97 Broken Front Coil Springs
How many others have experienced a broken front spring?
I have a 1990 AWD Eddy Bauer and I have just found that the heavy rattle sound coming from the R/F wheel area is a broken coil spring.

Front Coil Springs

I tried to get aftermarket and they said they don't make them for 4AWD. I tried used auto wreckers within a 600 mile radius and could not find any (they were either not the correct ones or all sold out. I was not even aware that there was a problem with them So I had to order them Ford and wait a month because they were on backorder with FoMoCo I ordered two at $165.00 each. (ouch) But I didn't see any alternative. Good Luck Hope you make out better than I did
