I just bought a 1986 Mighty Max 4x4(same thing as a Dodge D50). Has the 2.6 liter in mine. Not to bad of an engine but only 8 valves and kinda a weak head IMO. Runs and drives pretty good for a small 4x4. Runs circles around my old 86 Toyota 4x4 wit the 22R (not that that is saying much). Works great for what I use it for. Hauling the kyak and fishing/camping gear into the mountains. Drives smooth down the highway at 70mph witch is all I ask of it. To each their own.

I juse want one beacause it has such a cool name. "I drive a Mitsubishi Mighty Max, do you?":licker: Although I think it should look more like a Daihatsu Midget II instead of looking.... well..... normal.

It was called the "mighty Max becase it is a pick up with a larger than normal bed..If you see a Mazda pick-up truck, just imagine it 12" longe bedr. The Mighty Max name, at least, in mine, makes honor to the name. I purchased this vehicle in Ca. in 1988, It has been around the Usa., Ca. twice, Florida once, and ended up finding house in Texas. As a matter of fact, out of 5 new cars in my house hold, all of them have been in the service for expensive repairs (of course, under guarantee)...My Mighty Max just for break shoes and mufflers only...Is that not a beauty??

My wife tell me to get rid of it..I say NO!!!
