95 Ford Windstar Trans Jump
When the transmission is cool shifting from 2nd to 1st is smooth but after a while of driving the shifting from 2nd to 1st when slowing down and stopping makes the van jump a lil for a secound and i'm not quite sure what is causing it i was thinking about flushing the trans and ading new fluid but i'm worried that the trans might not like it and mess up on me plus my WS has 150,000+ miles on it. Can anyone suggest something.
P.S. it shifts just fine to and from any other gear but jumps just once when i put it into drive from park or on a hill from park to reverse. |

Re: 95 Ford Windstar Trans Jump
Fluid looks less red than mine, (95, 3.8 160K mi). Have you ever changed the fluid, or filter in the transaxle pan? If not CHANGE IT!

switch
I would try replacing the neutral saftey switch on tranny, it does more than just prevent starting in gear, may post say it fixes tranny problems,
see my previous post on website where to buy. |

Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS)) any one this these could cause that if i cant find out witch one i could be i'm prob going to replace them both but i would like to get suggestions on if its one or the other?
