problem with forced air in 97 escort

I changed the resistor because I thought from all the post I read that might be the problem, but it's not. It was cheap enough to replace also. I am not getting any forced air from my ac/heater. I can hear and feel my blower running. Could that still mean that it's not working? On my last post someone said to check the rehostat, I did the wires look fine, but it looks like it's unplugged from something, it's just hanging there. Is that normal? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure if this is related to your problem or not... I had an early 90's Escort that was having some blower issues once... turned out that there was a ton of leaves built up in the vent area from the hood... they had gotten down in there and were blocking up the intake area.

Well I cleaned that out, and that wasn't the problem. So anyone have another idea, cause I really would rather fix it myself and not take it too a mechanic.

If I understand your problem correctly... you simply can't feel the air at the vents even though the blower is running? The blower motor IS working right?

It might be possible that your vent switch is messed up... maybe the vent doors are stuck in the defrost position or something? Can you feel the air down low under the dash or at the base of the windshield? Maybe a vent hose under the dash is disconnected and the air is blowing in to there?

Did you take the blower out to clean out the leaves? Did you try running the blower with it out of the car. Once in a while the blowers will go bad and not turn fast enough.
