Need expert help on troubleshooting

I have a 94 1st gen. non turbo talon. My car has a bad idle, the car runs good above 1200rpm but when you go low it misses. No trouble codes are displayed.
Story:
The oil plug worked it's way out of the engine and oil pumped all over my exhaust. I plugged it with a bolt to long and locked the oil pump gear. "Big mess" The timiming belt shredded. So i replaced the timming belt and oil gear belt. I also check all my valves and suprisingly they are great.
. These are the things ive checked:

timing "good"
vacuum "good"
idle speed motor "good"
idle switch "good"
mass air - did a ohm check seemed O.K. but i wish their was a way to test i further
egr "blocked off anyway"
O2 sensor - again Ohm test worked out O.K.
fuel pressure "great"
leak down test "good"
compression test "great
Base idle set screw - bypasses computer and set it up right.
ECU looked ok

I am from Toronto Canada and i can't find anyone out here who really knows a dsm. Anything that you can think of please feel free to post. Thanks guys!

Re: Need expert help on troubleshooting

how do you know your timing is good? the timing has to be damn near dead on perfect for them to run right. 1 tooth off could fuck the whole motor.

Re: Need expert help on troubleshooting

what i don't get is how a longer bolt locked up the oil pump. the oil pump gear isn't anywhere inside the pan and the closest thing the bolt could fuck up is the crank or rods but it would have to be like 9 inches long for that to happen.

Re: Need expert help on troubleshooting

If everything that you mentioned is in working order, then you probably have a simple ignition problem. Try replacing your spark plugs, and ignition wires.

Watch this! Start a new thread with an appropriate title, and don't post in year old threads that don't have anything to do with what you are asking.

AND be more specific about your problem.

Re: Need expert help on troubleshooting

There are a limited number of things that can shred the timing belt. Two things come to mind off the top of my head as I sit here at work ready to flip the fuck out.

Putting longer bolts on the two oil pan bolts under the tbelt will shred the belt. The factory uses two bolts that are slightly shorter for this reason. I don't know what that has to do with the "oil plug," whatever that is supposed to be.

There is a plug on the back of the block where you insert a screw driver to check the position of the rear balance shaft belt. If this is where you put in a longer bolt, and you have the balance shafts, that would stop the rear shaft and therefore oil pump from turning, and since the oil pump sprocket can't turn, you would damage the belt.

The description leaves me scratching my head and wondering what the fuck is going on, but it's likely that it will end up to be one of these two things.

Holy fuckin shit, are you kidding me? Oh well, not my fault. I get in the question answering zone and stop looking at petty details. You act like I didn't just break 800 PMs tonight... (802)

Your transmission doesn't know what your throttle is doing. It could be either your throttle position sensor is malfunctioning or your throttle valve is clogged or malfunctioning in some other way. I'd check the TPS first.

Oh yeah, and start a new topic!
