It was so unbearably close, I could taste victory,that is until he pulled ahead by a few car lengths and dusted me. But whatev. I tried. So, by now you are thinking, "Oh fuck, he's going to make us guess what he raced..." But alas, I'm going to spill the potatoes on this one.

So, no less than half an hour ago, I was done with work and on my way home. I had just gotten down to Provo, and in my rearview, I see this dark, handsome 350Z gliding downhill gracefully, yet with some quickness. 'Dare I?' I questioned myself. Maybe if he turns at the next light. I get into the turning lane, and wait to see his decision. But, some fatass boat got in the way. Fucking rich people. I figured he wasn't turning. I turned left, and headed toward University Ave. Just before I was about to turn, the Z flew past me, almost silently. Then made the right turn quicky. "Jackass" I muttered to myself as he turned with me following (half smiling I might add).

He pulled up to the already red light, and I was just slowing down. The light changed green, and I kept pace with him for a slight moment, then took off in 1st, shifted to 2nd and slowed at 40 mph. I looked back at him to see the big ear to ear grin on his face. He came along side of me, and pointed towards the lights "Next red light, we'll go!" he shouted. I nodded, happy as a perv in a porn shop.

Sure enough, the first light we came up on turned red. Coincidence? Nope, just some cars and people waiting to cross the intersection opposing us. I looked over and he glanced at me at the same exact moment. I swear to you I about had my own Spilner moment at that time.

Me: "Nice looking car. I like it" ( I paused for a second because I swear I almost asked what the stupid retail price was)
Him: "Thanks, just bought yesterday."
Me: "Any future plans with it."
Him: "Nope, it's for my wife." (Fucking rich people)
Me: "She's a lucky gal."

By this time, the crossing light was changing yellow. He began to rev up his Z. I myself did likewise, and held my RPMS to 4500. Then...GREEENN!! I spun the tires, and off the line, took him by half a car length. 1st gear went by like a breeze, and once 2nd hit, I maintained that lead for about 2 seconds. It was glorious! And then he was about 3 car lengths ahead by the time I hit 55 mph, and yet he still continued. Fucking rich people. I slowed down. And about half a mile later, came up behind him. I gave the thumbs up throught the sunroof, and he nodded and smiled returning the gesture. Then we parted ways going towards the freeway exits. Him north, me going south.

WTF was I thinking you ask? Dunno really. Just wanted to try it out. See what I had, or what I thought I had. It was exciting. And now here I am, at home on an adrenaline rush typing up this story. Well, I'm going cook me up some tortilla chips covered in melted cheddar cheese. Enjoy!

lol good death. Its always fun to race a car you dont think you can beat. Like the time i raced the viper SRT10, lol like i stood a chance in hell.

He bought it for his wife...IMO, any guy that can go buy a brand new 350Z convertible for his wife, has got to have some money to throw around. But that's my opinion. That's what $35K+? I don't think very many of us have that much money just to spend on the wifey as a gift/present/sex bribe.

Intake, Header, Exhaust, Camshaft, Cam gear, and Pulleys.

Thats about it. Nothing more is going to be done to this current motor. I'm saving up for an H22, which hopefully I can have purchased and dropped in by the end of this summer. And as for this motor, I'm going to sell it to my cousin, who is going to drop it into his hatch.
