Engine Stutters then dies.. what could it be?

At times my engine on start up or when stopping at a light either the rpms drop real low then go back up or the rpms drop and the engine dies. It doesn't happen all the time, it rarely happens. It also seems to have no pattern, when it happens it just does. Like this morning it was fine and when i parked and started it back up about 5 mins. later it died I had to rev it to about 4,000 rpms so that it would stutter and die. This seems to work to help the problem. I just rev it to 4,000 rpms and it goes away and at times just come right back. I've already changed plugs, wires and fuel filter. Don't knwo what else it could be. My car is a 95 eclipse non-turbo

I'd check my ground wires and test my ecu some how.
