Problem: Exel TZ-7 Rims
I just got some rims off of a guy that were supposed to bolt to my 1998 Tiburon. He said they came off an Elantra. However, when bolting them on, they dont fit flush, theres a screw in the way on the rear end in between the studs, and on the front, there are 4 hex bolts that keep it from mounting flush. Do i need spacers or what? Thanks.

Re: Problem: Exel TZ-7 Rims
I got the rear wheels mounted fine, the screw was just a locator screw. These came off an Elantra with the same bolt pattern. 4x114.3 Which is the exact same car, except the body and other minor changes. As for the front, the hex bolts are still in the way.

Re: Problem: Exel TZ-7 Rims
you have captive rotors.
couple things you can do: 1. convert to a non-captive setup. you should need calipers, rotors, hubs, and spindles. 2. get holes drilled out in the back of the rims for those four big bolts. NOT recommended though, can weaken the wheel. 3. get spacers and hub rings and hope they work together. |
