Honestly...

Today I went to a junk yard and sold my 94 Thunderbird for $125. BAH! Let's just say, the deer was huge! So, yes I am a little sad about that. Seeing as how I loved that car, and "loved" is an understatement. It had a 4.6 V8 in 'er and was everything that I wanted for my first car.
Seeing as how I work a ton, I NEED a car. I don't want a piece of shit that I'm going to have to keep throwing money at, obviously. I've found a 99 Firebird with the 3.8, unsure of mileage. Good? Bad? Ugly?
Well anyway, I think it's fairly sexy lookin' car. I've figured out that I need a car that I can feel confident about, looks and performance. That 4.6 could scoot me around pretty damn well. Those coffee can cars had nothing on Priscilla. Yes Priscilla, the nickname that I didn't come up with. I'm wondering if the 3.8 sixer is going to be good enough?
I've been a part of AutomotiveForums for a while now, and I also know that anybody on here most likely loves their car to begin with. So I'm asking you to be honest. Please, for the sake of this young person with very little money, be honest. Is the interior uncomfortable? Bad for a 6'1'' guy? Sluggish? That type of thing.
Thanks for anything.

Honestly, if your used to a V8, you probably wont be happy with that 6 cylinder. It is peppy for a six, but its slow when you drive V8s.

Re: Honestly...

I doubt the Firebird would be much slower than the Thunderbird.
Those Thunderbirds were heavy cars, and they got an underpowered version of the 4.6.
Hell, the 3.8 might be the same.

Re: Honestly...

i own a v6 firebird and it gets me around fast enough. i dont really think i need a v8 because the v6 i drive is my daily driver and if i got a v8, then i would get crappy gas milage. but if you plan on racing your car, then get the v8.
