Lightbulb Leather Shifters Installed (AGAIN)

I think this forum is slightly bandwidth challenged. It doesn't seem to like taking pictures.

I'll try this again.

The auto tranny and xfer case leather shifters really finish off the interior. Nissan should offer this with the leather steering wheel option. The Nissan Gorilla really got ahold of my xfer case shifter and it took a Craftsman Strap Wrench to get it off in one piece.

Both your posts seem to be displaying fine. Please pick one to delete. BTW, after you got it off, could you tell what was holding it on so tight? Adhesive, etc?

There's one post that says "Leather Shifters Installed, my first mod" which doesn't seem to be displaying anything at all. I attemtped to delete it but there is no option to do so.

It seems the xfer case shift knob is screwed down extremely tight, and on top of that there is some type of epoxy on the threads. I had to clean the epoxy off of the threads on the shift lever before putting the leather knob back on.

Did you click on "edit" then checked the "delete" button and pressed "delete now"? You can't do it through the admin functions, but should be able to do it by editing your own message. Odd if it doesn't work.

What you describe is exactly what I tried. I clicked on "edit/delete", then checked the "delete" box, then pressed the "delete now" button. It came back saying I did not have permission to perform that function.

Strange.

Schlud -

I think only moderators can delete a thread, however anyone can delete their own post, but not if it is the first one.
