Installing Pac SWI-X in a 1995 Riv

Hello,

I'm trying to install a Pac SWI-x into my 1995 Riviera . Problem is all the instructions from there site for a car with airbags and heater controls show a 32 pin connector plug .In fact all there instructions show a 32 pin plug. My 95 and I would guess all 95s has a 21 pin plug.

Anyone have any information on what wires to use on a 95 with a 21 pin connector ??

Thanks for any help , Kevin

Re: Installing Pac SWI-X in a 1995 Riv

Just got through installing the SWI-X after a lot of trial and error . Works great .

Here are the instructions for installing the Pac SWI-X into a 1995 Riviera for anyone else who is having trouble .....

In the 95 Riv there is a black 7 pin plug that is not used when installing a after market head unit . There are also 3 other connectors that go to the head unit that make up a 21 pin connector.

Only the 7 pin connector is used with the SWI-X

Use version number #4 when programming the SWI-X

Looking at the open end of the 7 pin plug , left to right , ..

Pin #1 (dk green ) gets connected to the SWI-X 's blue wire .

Pin #6 (light green) gets connected to the SWI-X 's green wire.

Besides connecting the power and ground wires , thats it !

Program the SWI-X per instructions and it should work great .

Hope this can help somone out ! ,.. Kevin
