radio issue
About 4 days ago my radio became almost purely static. The Am side is complete static, and teh FM side gets only a few stations, but even they are iffy. I tried replacingthe antenna but it did not help. Any help would be greatly appeciated.

If it's the factory unit...the best solution is to go get a new aftermarket in-dash unit. Replaced mine after dealing with this same kind of problem for a year and have enjoyed AM/FM/CD tunes ever since.

Re: radio issue
Does your our 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee have the infinity system? If you do and the unit is junk, I would replace it with another factory unit. You will loose your steering wheel buttons and resale value.
If your hear static it's working, The antenna sounds like the problem, if its grounded some place to the jeep it will mess up like that. Does the CD player sound ok? does the tape deck sound ok? |

Re: radio issue
When you say you tried replacing the antenna, did you check the cable into the head unit?
