remote #1 and #2

i was told by the dealership that when i unlock the car with remote 1, the seat will automatically move to position 1 in the memory and the same respectively with #2. i still have yet to witness this operation. also, along with this, i was told that memory seat 1 can have their own radio programs set and hitting the number two on the door will have their own radios set as well. again, i have yet to witness this. my main concern though is how can i setup my remotes so that when i unlock my car with remote #1, the seat moves to #1 without me hitting number 1 on the door.

It depends which options package you have...
I know on my LT which does not have the memory settings, my keys still stay 1 & 2... however no operations change.

Do you have the DIC? Go through the settings on there, I believe there should be an option for something "recall" which relates to the remote functions.

went to the DIC. only remote functions is called "feedback." which means horn, lights, or both upon locking and unlocking. nothing else in the DIC as far as "recall." then again, nothing at all reading as "recall." only remote function i see on there is feedback.

now that that's established, how can i program it to my remotes as well. i have the same LTZ model, but an 05. only thing missing from my TB is navigation and dvd. is there a way i can program the remote for it or i have to go back to the dealership to get it fixed.

our LTZ is an '02, but I know that in the DIC menu there was a selection for "recognition". You had the choice to recognize remote #1 or #2 on unlock, on ignition, or not at all.

We actually set it to "not at all" as we usually use only one remote and the seat would be moving everytime you unlocked the thing. And of course, the mirrors too. The damn mirrors never landed in the same position twice!

Good luck!
