Stalls when Reversing
Currently have a 89 Caprice 5.7l. When reversing, the engine just loses pressure and stalls. When I have the wheel turned (and reversing), it seems even worse. I had a 89 5l Caprice long time ago which did not experience that.
The difference is the 5.7l has a much stiffer wheel so when I turn, have to put more force, but as a result, it seems that is putting some sort of strain to the engine causing it to lose pressure.
I've experience 2 other GM cars that occaisionally stalled when reversing. Does anybody know what could possibly be causing this and how to fix it?
