Question Would you buy a '02 535iA Sport ?

Hi,

I've no idea what the 3.5 V8 is like in the 535i...

What's the general impression? Sporty or Motorway Smooth?

I'm after a car with more characture, so looking at 330i, 530i, 540i and possibly am older M5.

I'm going to go and look at a 535iA Sport with 24k miles on the clock..... looks FANTASTC... but I don't know the history of the 3.5 V8.

Any help would be greatly apreciated.

Many thanks

Paul

The 535 is not a V8. It's an inline 6. The M30 is a pretty good engine, but only a few hp more than the more modern 525 M50 engine.

This is a 3 year old 535i...... I'd hope it's got more horsepower than a 'modern' 525 with the M50 (My od 525i E34 had the M50 engine)

The car I'm looking a is definatly a V8, the dealer confirmed it this afternoon.

Ok, I missed the '02. In my defence I did say "more modern" M50 rather than "modern"
