Talking instrument lights and radio lights

I need some help with my park....heres the problem. got in the car turned on the headlights and noticed no instrument lights and no radio/clock. checked all fuses and they were good. started fooling around with different things and this is what i found. with the twilight sentinal off and headlights off the radio/clock display and the passenger temp control display works. if you turn of the headlights or park lights on with the switch in the drivers door the radio/clock display and pass. a/c display go out. same thing with the twilight sentenal. with it off radio/clock works switch it on and displays go out. during all of this i never was able to get the instrument lights to come on. what gives? need help bad thanks

Try moving your instrument panel dimmer switch back and forth hard and fast several times. Sometimes that will make it work. Why? I don't know, but it has worked for me.
