89 Fox
I JUST BOUGHT AN 89 FOX, I HAVE A HAVING A FEW PROBS,, MAYBE SOMEONE CAN HELP WITH.IT STARTS OK,AND RUNS OK AT LOW RPMS.
WHEN I START GASSING IT IT STUDDERS, LIKE IT CAN'T GET GAS QUICK ENOUGH.OR FUEL\AIR IS MESSEDUP.i WAS SMELLING HEAVY GAS FUMES,BUT THE CARS MUFFLER IS HALF GONE.ALSO FUEL PUMP IS REALLY LOUD BUZZING,WHERE CAN I FIND THE FILTER? ALSO IS THERE ANYWAY I CAN PUT 14" TIRES ON MY FOX? i REALLY JUSTWANT SOMETHING A LITTLE WIDER AND LOWER MAYBE GTI RIMS?? ANYTHING WILL HELP THANKS.. |

What else can you check? The fuse box. That's right, there is a wire bridge located between terminals 36 and 38 that needs to be properly seated to assure power to the starter. By making sure the wire bridge is securely seated, you should have outfoxed the Fox.

If you're smelling gas fumes in the exhaust, that is a sign of incomplete combustion. Try something simple like changing out the spark plugs and plug wires. If that doesn't do the trick, remove the ignition coil and have it tested at AutoZone for free. Hope this helps.
