Ok just got the new boot on.
And now a new problem...My car was running great since i rebuilt the top end, but after it set for 2 days, it runs like crap i got it down to the timing, and i used the books method of checking the CMP sensor and you test the plug...not the actual sensor. So my Q is is there a way to test the actual sensor itself? Cause by the book its bad, but i want to test it it is $347 at oreillys...im not shittin ya, they spent an hour looking through a ref manual becaue the 1gs arent supposed to have a cam position sensor. I found it in the book though.
