getting wax off of plastic

well the subject line should say enough, I tried to keep wax off the plastic molding on my 02 but it still got on there and now my black molding is now looking pretty white and I need to know of some good ways to get it off safely. I know wd-40 will teak it off but it can aslo dry out and ruin the plastic, so does anyone one else know of good ways to take off wax from plastic

i just rubbed mine real with a terry cloth really hard and fast, created a lot of heat and it went away.

well after some looking around the past few days, ive found that some diluted ammonia will take it off, it may take a while, but the ammonia has been removing it.

Re: getting wax off of plastic

anything amonia based, ie windex etc....it'll take it off, and it's not too harsh on plastic....a lil trick I've learned in the marine corps...amonia takes off everything, safely, for the most part...
