Altenator question
Today while I was driving with my family the battery light on my dashboard suddenly came on. I have started the van several times and it seems to be working fine. All acc's are working. Can I be having problems with my altenator. I have a 2000 astro with 151,000 miles on it. Any help would be great thanks.

Re: Altenator question
Get a volt meter and check the voltage at the battery with the engine running and with it off.

Re: Altenator question
You should see 14+ volts with the engine running.
Closer to 12 with the engine off.
